I am a middle-aged woman, mother of two, wife of one, published poet, Sci-fi and graphic novel nerd, learning everything I can in the arts. I hope to eventually work as a professional artist and educator. There are good art days and bad art days, but the more I practice, the better the days.
Favourite Visual Artist
I love early Picasso, Egon Schiele and so many other artists of different time periods. Impossible to pick a favorite. I can easily spend hours in a good gallery and come back the next day.

Sun sears the salt

I swim up to meet his music.
His song is a pretty hook.
A rough net waits.
Gasp in the air
How strange his man hands.
How strange his eyes, blue gems
in the earth of his head.
